KATHERINE SCHULTE, ESQ.
Associate Attorney
Attorney Katherine Schulte joined Jessica Katz Law in 2022, bringing more than a decade of experience in legal advocacy, training, and program leadership. At Jessica Katz Law, Katherine leads the individual client practice and supports all investigations through strategy, legal analysis, and report writing. She is also a consultant to several nonprofit organizations, training and mentoring their staff on legal issues affecting survivors of violence and abuse.
Katherine's professional background spans both the nonprofit and higher education sectors, where she has built a reputation for skilled advocacy, thoughtful leadership, and a deep commitment to partnering with clients through knowledge and support. Her approach combines strong litigation experience with an understanding of the broader personal and social factors that often intersect with legal issues.
Katherine began her legal career as a Supervising Attorney and Fellow at the Domestic Violence Institute at Northeastern University School of Law. In this role, she represented clients facing high-risk and crisis situations while mentoring and training future attorneys. The experience strengthened her ability to navigate complex legal matters with both precision and compassion, while developing the next generation of legal advocates.
Prior to joining Jessica Katz Law, Katherine served as Managing Attorney of the Legal Advocacy Program at Casa Myrna, one of the region's leading organizations serving survivors of domestic violence. There, she led a multidisciplinary team of attorneys, advocates, and law students while overseeing legal services for clients across Greater Boston. Through extensive practice in the District and Probate and Family Courts, she developed significant litigation experience and became her clients’ trusted guide through some of life's most challenging circumstances.
As a bicultural, Spanish-speaking attorney, Katherine has extensive experience working with immigrant communities. She understands that legal issues rarely exist in isolation and is committed to helping clients navigate both legal and non-legal challenges with clarity, confidence, and dignity. Her clients value her ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a practical and accessible manner while ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the legal process.
In addition to her legal practice, Katherine is an accomplished trainer, consultant, and organizational leader. She has provided substantive and skill-based trainings to attorneys, advocates, educators, and healthcare professionals. Drawing on her success in securing funding that tripled the size of Casa Myrna's legal program, she has also advised nonprofit organizations on grant management, program expansion, and the delivery of interdisciplinary services.
Katherine remains actively engaged in the legal community through the Boston Bar Association and the Women's Bar Foundation. Her professional accomplishments have been recognized by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, which named her an "Up & Coming Lawyer" as part of its Excellence in the Law awards program.
Katherine earned her bachelor's degree from Boston College and holds both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Clinical Legal Education from Northeastern University School of Law.
